Photo Proportions

With all the different cameras out there many of them take photos at different proportions. Back in the olden days the 35mm camera took pictures that were proportional to a 4x6 print. The 6x7 camera though took pictures that were proportional to a 4x5 print. This means that if you enlarge your 35mm negative to make a 16x20 you lose 4 inches on the length but if you had a 6x7 negative it would print full frame at 16x20.
Think about proportions when you place your order with Digital Photos on Canvas. If you have an image that you do not want to lose any of the image when it is printed then choose for the image not to be cropped and it will be printed full frame. When the image is printed full frame from a 35mm negative and printed as a 16x20 the print will be 20 inches long but will be less than 16 inches wide. If you order a 16x20 from an image that is proportional to 4x6 print with out choosing "no crop" then you will lose four inches on the length.

Coming Soon

April 15th Digital Photos on Canvas Express will be completely up and running. The site is really set to help people that don't mind doing a little work by stretching their canvas themselves. Until then please visit our existing site www.digitalphotosoncanvas.com - the canvas is already stretched and you can choose to have your images collaged, turned Black and White or Sepia, or have your old photos restored.

Cheers,
Mike
